Heather Urie

Medical Director, NP

Heather Urie, DNP, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Medical Director at Truesdale Medical Center, where she provides comprehensive primary care, including HIV care and prevention, chronic disease management, and gender-affirming care to patients in the North Charleston community. With over 17 years of experience in primary care and community health, Heather is committed to providing compassionate, affirming care to every patient — regardless of background, identity, or history.
Heather is passionate about preventive healthcare, expanding fair access to care for all, and encouraging healthy lifestyles in a judgment‑free, supportive environment. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family, is an active member of a local rowing club, and values staying engaged and connected to the Charleston community.

Trevor Gabel-Baird

Nurse Practitioner

Trevor Gabel-Baird is a Nurse Practitioner at Truesdale Medical Center, where he provides primary care, HIV treatment and prevention, and LGBTQ+ affirming services to patients in the North Charleston community. Trevor has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner since 2023 and is committed to providing compassionate, affirming care to every patient — regardless of background, identity, or history.
Trevor is passionate about improving access to healthcare, chronic disease management, HIV prevention and treatment, and LGBTQ+ health. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his husband and chocolate lab, Nestle. He also serves as nursing faculty at ECPI University and as a co-director of a local high school colorguard program, where he actively supports student arts in his community.
